Mahoning County dog license deadline is Feb. 28

YOUNGSTOWN — Feb. 28 is the deadline to buy 2015 dog licenses without penalty in Mahoning County, the county auditor’s and dog warden’s offices have announced.

The licenses, required for all dogs older than 3 months, cost $20 annually and may be bought by mail or in person through the auditor’s or dog warden’s offices, or online through the auditor’s website: www.mahoningcountyoh.gov.

They may also be bought in person at motor vehicle license bureaus and at various retail stores throughout the county.

Licenses help the dog warden’s office safety return lost dogs to their owners, said Dianne L. Fry, dog warden.
