Police arrested multiple people on drug-trafficking charges about noon Tuesday.

Campbell officers, in conjunction with the Mahoning Valley Drug Task Force, served arrest warrants.

Doug Rogers was arrested at a 13th Street residence on three counts of drug trafficking heroin, and one count of trafficking of fake heroin.

Paul Wilson was arrested at a Bright Avenue home on two felony counts of trafficking marijuana. Eugene Lamar was arrested at a Tremble Avenue house on two counts of drug trafficking in heroin, and one count of trafficking in fake heroin. All three are in the Mahoning County jail being held without bond pending a court appearance.

While serving the warrant at Tremble Avenue, police found two dogs tethered outside the property. Both dogs appeared underweight and without access to food and water. They also appeared to have been outside overnight. Police added another charge of animal cruelty against Lamar. The dogs were transferred to Animal Charity.

Later, Roenora Jones of Campbell informed police one of the dogs belonged to her, and she had left it with Lamar. Police charged her with animal cruelty for failing to maintain contact with her dog to the degree that it was left outside in below-freezing temperatures.

Jones received a summons to appear in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
