Felony charge filed in LensCrafters theft
BOARDMAN
A township man faces a felony theft charge for an incident in June in which police said he took $7,000 worth of merchandise from LensCrafters, 265 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Daniel Sweeney, 39, of Glenwood Ave., was booked for the offense Tuesday after the warrant for his arrest was discovered while he was lodged at the Mahoning County Jail for another offense.
An employee at LensCrafters reported to township police June 18 that on three separate occasions a suspect took a total of 31 frames, valued at a total of $7,000, from the store.
The theft charge is a felony of the fifth degree.
