Youngstown NAACP wants Superintendent Hathorn replaced

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown branch of the NAACP says city schools Superintendent Connie Hathorn and the deputy superintendent should be replaced.

The local NAACP leader George Freeman said at a news conference this morning that Hathorn and Doug Hiscox lack the skill to improve the district academically.

The organization is critical of the school district's low performance on state tests under Hathorn's leadership.
