Trumbull man gets 15 years in prison for robbing elderly woman

WARREN — William Countryman, 37, who listed addresses in Warren, Hubbard and Mineral Ridge, was sentenced to 15 years in prison last week in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for forcing a 74-year-old Bristolville woman to drive him to an ATM machine and robbing her last spring.

Countryman pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping and one count of heroin possession.

Police said he kidnapped the woman at knife point from the parking lot of ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital on May 8.
