Lunch and Learn event at JCC
Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will continue its lunch-and-learn series in February with the topic “Citizen CPR.”
During the event, representatives of the American Red Cross will explain and teach cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participants will not become certified in CPR, but will learn the basics of hands-only CPR.
Recent research shows that if more people learned hands-only CPR, it could increase the likelihood of cardiac-arrest survival. The program is sponsored by the American Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley. Lunch is included.
The class will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 11 in the JCC’s adult lounge. Cost is $6 for JCC members, $8 for nonmembers, and $10 after Feb. 9.
