Mike Yourstowsky scored 25 points and Mason Mangapora added 19 points and seven rebounds as the Cardinals won the nightcap of the LaRiccia Family See Them Rise Classic at the Covelli Centre. Jake Cummings added 12 points for the Cardinals (11-5). Scott Siddal led Laurel (13-4) with 24 points and Jake Wilson had 12.

Springfield 57, Brookfield 34

Graham Mincher scored 17 points and Brandon Chamberlain added 16 for the Tigers (12-0). Marc Kraml had 10 points for the Warriors.

Ursuline 60, Chardon NDCL 49

Greg Parella scored 27 points and Mark Hughes added 12 for the Irish (13-1). Aidan Mlachak had 16 for the Lions.

Canton GlenOak 70, Cardinal Mooney 66

Cardinal Mooney came up short at Canton GlenOak despite 23 points from Nick Koken. Andrew Armstrong recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Cardinals (8-4). Brandon Grindr led all scorers with 32 points for GlenOak.

Howland 75, Ashtabula Lakeside 69

Five players scored in double figures for Howland, as the Tigers held off Ashtabula Lakeside. Lucciano Romeo led the Tigers (4-9) with 16 points and Julian Lanier added 13. Reggie Bryant had a game-high 26 points for Lakeside.

Harrison Central 64, Beaver Local 44

Austin Kowlski scored 20 points and Cory Yoho added 15 for the Huskies. Chase Hilliard and Hayden Grafton each scored 14 for the Beavers.

Boardman 73, East 29

Anna Saxton scored 13 points, Krista Johnson had 12 and Jenna Vivo added 10 for Boardman (8-8, 1-5 AAC Red).

Columbiana 43, Mohawk 29

Emily Whitmer scored 21 points to lead the Clippers (14-2). Sam Carr led the Warriors with 10 points. The game was played at the Covelli Centre.

Fitch 46, Warren Harding 44

Aaliyah Sadler scored 15 points and the Falcons erased a four-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Alasjia Dykes had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Raiders (9-6).

Kennedy Catholic 59, Ursuline 36

Kayla Kurelko scored 15 points to lead the Eagles. Trailing by nine after one quarter, the Eagles used a 17-3 second quarter to propel them. Ciel Vidale led the Irish with nine points.

Lakeview 88, Jefferson 33

Abby Pavlik produced her second straight triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists as the Bulldogs stayed unbeaten in the AAC White. Pavlik also had a triple-double in a win at Niles on Wednesday. Addie Becker also scored 21 points for Lakeview (14-2, 8-0) and Annie Pavlansky had 16 and Jensen Silbaugh scored 15. Emily Smock led Jefferson with 18 points.

South Range 76, United 42

Morgan Czopur scored 22 points including five three-pointers to lead the Raiders (14-2). Shanna Miller scored 10 points for the Eagles (6-10).

Struthers 65, Poland 43

Khaylah Brown had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Preshus Brown had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Struthers (8-6, 4-2), which led 37-16 at halftime. Caitlin Kane added 10 points. For Poland (10-4, 4-2), Bella Gajdos had 10 points.

Girard 63, Champon 45

Makayla Trebella scored 22 points and Camille Stoffick had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Girard (15-2, 6-2), which outscored Champion 21-6 in the second quarter to take control. Molly Williams had 12 points and five rebounds and Megan Turner had 10 points for Champion.

Newton Falls 35, Brookfield 25

Gabby Kline and Destinee Hutson each had seven points to lead the Tigers (11-2, 7-0 All-American Conference Blue Division). Autumn Kirila scored 10 to lead the Warriors (12-3, 6-2).

Western Reserve 52, Springfield 50

Aleah Hughes had 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to lead Western Reserve (11-6). Rachel Maslach added 16 points. Callie Ford led Springfield with 28 points putting her at 1,000 for her career.

West Branch 56, Carrollton 29

Youngstown State recruit Melinda Trimmer scored 13 points and dished out nine assists for West Branch (14-1, 9-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference), which took a two-game lead in the league race with five games remaining. Kaylee Manning added 14 points, four rebounds and three steals and Pavin Heath had 12 points and 10 rebounds for WB. Ali Poole had 10 points for Carrollton (10-6, 7-2).

LaBrae 52, Campbell 19

Morgan Meyer, Lauren Rutherford, Raegan Hoffman and Haylie Kiser each scored nine points to lead LaBrae. Tatyana Nelko had seven points for Campbell.

McDonald 40, Leetonia 32

Brenna Rupe and Sara Johnson combined for half of McDonald’s points in a win over Leetonia. Sam Homa added eight for the Blue Devils (7-8). Maddie Pensold scored a game-high 14 points for the Bears.

Wellsville 64, Heartland Christian 28

Destiny Crow had 22 points and 10 rebounds and Sara Darlymple had 14 points and five rebounds for Wellsville (6-10). Avery Pennington led Heartland (1-15) with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Sandy Valley 65, Lisbon 50

Cortney Huffman had 15 points to lead the Cardinals. Hannah Prasco scored 18 points and Karlee Pezzano added 11 for the Blue Devils (9-8).

Grand Valley 49, Sts. John & Paul 31

Jessica Vormelker scored 14 points to lead the Mustang. Sts. John & Paul was led by Cheyanne Bosse who had 12 points.

WRESTLING

Clippers compete at Brooke

Columbiana competed at the Brooke Classic in West Virginia. Seven of eight wrestlers placed for the Clippers. Coming in third was Caleb Rupert (182) and Tim Davin (220). Vince Vino (138) earned fourth, Tanner Pearl (132) and Chris Jones (160) took sixth and Frank Rupert (152) placed seventh.
