MVAC assembly

Mahoning Valley Association of Churches conducted its annual assembly this week at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., with the Rev. Carolyn Greffeth as host pastor.

Officers installed for 2015 are Tom Sauline, president; the Rev. Joe Witmer, vice president; the Rev. Nora Smith, treasurer; and the Rev. Donna Sloan, secretary.

Board members, who were installed for three-year terms, are the Revs. Bob Bonnot, David Gilbert, David Kamphuis and Daniel Rohan.

The Rev. Dr. Robin Woodberry, MVAC executive director, spoke on the MVAC mission.

Unity service

HERMITAGE, PA.

The annual Unity Service sponsored by Christian Associates of Shenango Valley is planned at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Hickory United Methodist Church, 240 N. Hermitage Road.

The Rev Liddy Gerchman Barlow, executive minister for Christian Associates of Southwest Pennsylvania, will speak.

An ecumenical choir directed by Jane Bartholomew will perform.

A reception will follow in fellowship hall.
