YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Chapter of the Links is spreading late holiday cheer.

All money collected at its annual Christmas luncheon is being divided between the Sojourner House and Beatitude House along with toys that were collected. A check also is being written for Second Harvest food bank.

Chorale will perform at St. Patrick’s

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Chorale under the direction of Kris Harper will perform in concert from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave.

The concert includes diverse musical selections from Broadway shows, popular hits and spiritual and classical favorites. It is free and open to the public, though free will offerings will be welcomed.

From 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., spaghetti dinners will be served in the church social hall, part of the Sauce and Song program. For information contact the church office at 330-743-1109.

School schedules Family Literacy Day

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Christian School, 4401 Southern Blvd., will present Family Literacy Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 7.

The focus is on children from preschool through sixth grade.

Among the features will be games, activities and books.

Admission and activities are free, but there will be a small charge for concessions.
