Been at the movies lately? A good number of actors are livin’ large and loving it.

Been at the movies lately? A good number of actors are livin’ large and loving it. Translation: Heaviness doesn’t seem to be a casting hindrance, even for romantic leading roles. Here are some examples:

v Jonah Hill: The actor, during his plump phase in “22 Jump Street,” gets the girl — the police captain’s pretty co-ed daughter (Amber Stevens) — while resident hard-body Channing Tatum stays single. The two funnymen are re-teaming for “23 Jump Street.”

v Josh Gad: Plump. Nerdy. Glasses. Out of shape. No problem for this comedic actor whose character Doug in “The Wedding Ringer” is engaged to one of TV’s hottest actresses, “Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco Sweeting. In the flick, tax attorney Doug explains he landed his sizzling bride-to-be with his dancing moves.

v Rebel Wilson: The Aussie went from singing her heart out in “Pitch Perfect” to falling in love with a Neanderthal come to life (Ben Stiller) in “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.”

v Kevin James: The onetime “King of Queens” is resurrecting his role as a security guard who can do no right in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”

v Melissa McCarthy: In “The Hangover III,” the star of TV’s “Mike & Molly” (about a corpulent couple) ends up with the franchise’s main instigator, Alan, played by Zach Galifianakis.

“Figure Skating” (8 p.m., NBC): Candidates for the U.S. championships take to the ice.

“Black Sails” (9 p.m., Starz): It’s time to hit the high seas again as the rollicking pirate drama, “Black Sails” returns. In the opener, Flint (Toby Stephens) and Silver (Luke Arnold) go before the crew to face judgment.
