Shots fired at man Thursday afternoon on North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — A 25-year-old man told police someone fired several shots at him while he was in his car at Fifth and Crandall avenues about 3:35 p.m. Thursday.

The man said in a police report he was at the red light at the intersection on Crandall when a car pulled in front of him after the light changed and blocked the intersection. A man inside that car then pulled a gun and fired several shots at him.

The man drove away but crashed and ran to his home. He was not injured. Police recovered a .40-caliber shell casing from the scene.
