Celebrity chefs sought for pantry fundraiser

SALEM

The Salem Community Center, Salem Rotary Club and Salem Kiwanis Club are seeking celebrity chefs for the return of the Feed the Salem Community Pantry fundraiser. Chefs will prepare food (small portions) for 50 people, provide their own warming device (nonelectric) and a server for their table. A sign with your name, or name of your business, will be provided and displayed on your table. The deadline to reserve a table is Feb. 6.

Feed the Salem Community Pantry Fat Tuesday celebration will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at the community center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. All proceeds will go to the Salem Community Pantry.

YSU women retirees offering scholarship

YOUNGSTOWN

The Women Retirees of the Youngstown State University scholarship committee is accepting applications through March 1.

The scholarship is awarded to a full-time junior female student who maintains a minimum 3.0 grade-point average. The recipient must be a U.S. citizen and be enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Information about the scholarship is available at ysu.edu/finaid/scholarships.

Application forms may be printed from the website or obtained from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, second floor of Meshel Hall at Youngstown State University.
