Man, 46, arrested in sex assault on girl, 14, at Pa. church

CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) — A man is under arrest after police say a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a church.

John Nicholl Sr. is charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person younger than 16 and harassment in connection the alleged assault Sunday morning at the Salvation Army Church in Carlisle.

The 46-year-old Mount Holly Springs man remained jailed today in lieu of $15,000 bail and could not be reached to comment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4.

The Sentinel reports the girl and her father told police Nicholl kissed her and touched her inappropriately as she helped a child at the church.
