ASHTABULA

Cardinal Mooney had five players in double figures, including 22 points and 10 rebounds from Andrew Armstrong, in a win over Ashtabula Lakeside. Antonio Bruno added 15 points and seven assists, while Nick Koken scored 13 and grabbed 10 boards for the Cardinals (8-3). Jaden Jones led Lakeside (0-9) with 16 points.

Girard 56, Champion 46

GIRARD

Dylan O’Hara scored 15 points in Girard’s win over Champion. DeOnte Brown and Chaston Williams each added 13 points for the Indians (11-2, 8-0). Chris Miller and Lucas Nasonti led Champion with 16 points.

Cameron Kane led the Red Dragons with 18 points. Garrett Pitts’ 16 points included four 3-pointers. For the Wildcats, Ray Phifer led with 20 points. Also scoring in double figures were Austin Yemma with 15 and Andrew Carbon with 11.

Derek Kopanic scored 12 points for Hubbard in a loss to Edgewood. BJ Fronzaglio added nine for the Eagles, who were outscored 9-4 in the final quarter. Matt Didonato had a team-high 13 points for Edgewood.
