2 juveniles arrested

CAMPBELL

Two juveniles who do not attend Campbell Schools were arrested on a Campbell school bus at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the bus driver turned over a burned marijuana cigarette and told them the two were smoking it. The juveniles were en route to the PACE program for at-risk students. “Because the district of residence for the students is Campbell, we must provide busing for them. This was a self-contained bus of all PACE students,” said Campbell Schools Superintendent Matthew Bowen. No further public comment will be made by the school district at this time, he said.

This type of nursery is able to care for babies born up to 8 weeks premature (at or greater than 32 weeks gestation), who weigh at least 3 pounds and who are physiologically immature, such as those who have breathing problems or are unable to feed orally, hospital officials said.

Car rams building

WARREN

“It was very, very scary. I thought a bomb went off outside the building.” That’s what one man said went through his mind when a car slammed into the back of the Sunrise Inn on East Market Street on Tuesday morning, according to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV.

The employee told the TV station the car crashed through a wall near the rear entrance to the business on the corner of Elm Road Northeast about 9:30 a.m. The vehicle entered the building where there is seating for customers. Neither the driver nor anyone inside the building was injured.

There was no word on what caused the car to ram the building, or the condition of the driver at press time. The restaurant is open for business.

Thomas Holler Jr., 19, of Paxton Road is charged with trafficking in drugs. Township police obtained a search warrant and raided his residence Dec. 11, according to a police report. They found marijuana, $467 in cash, hash-oil residue and drug paraphernalia. At the time, Holler told police he sold marijuana to make money because he cannot find a job, and admitted all evidence belonged to him.

He was arrested on a warrant Friday. He is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
