Youngstown man charged with cultivating marijuana

YOUNGSTOWN

City police charged a Youngstown man with cultivation of marijuana and obstructing official business after officers said he was growing supposed marijuana plants in an abandoned house.

Police said Joseph Rudolphi, 29, was in a house on Division Street about 9 p.m. Saturday. Officers found what they believe are marijuana plants along with plant-growing equipment in the house. Rudolphi refused to open the door when officers tried to gain entry to the house, police said.

A 25-year-old woman was also in the house when officers arrived, but not charged by police.
