Man sentenced after pleading guilty to 2013 slaying

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mount Vernon Avenue man pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for a July 25, 2013 slaying on Loveland Road.

Michael Brown, 21, pleaded guilty this morning as his trial was to begin for the shooting death of Daniel Watkins.

The sentence was imposed by Judge Shirley J. Christian of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
