Franklin to seek second term as Warren's mayor

WARREN — Doug Franklin, mayor of Warren since 2012, announced tonight that he will run for re-election to a second term this year.

Franklin, a Democrat, is a longtime Warren elected official, having served as councilman and service director before being elected Warren's first black mayor in 2011.

His announcement was made at the Best Western hotel on North Park Avenue downtown.
