Church will host Chili Cook-Off

Boardman United Methodist Church will host the 5th Annual Sue Hernan Memorial Chili Cook-Off from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the church hall, 6809 Market St.

It is sponsored by Boardman United Methodist Missions Possible Team.

To enter, prepare a crock pot or roaster full of chili and decorate your serving table. Everything else will be provided including plates, bowls, napkins, cornbread, dessert and beverages. Hot dogs and sloppy joes also will be served.

There is no fee to compete. Price of admission to the event is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and free for those 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
