The ATHENA Committee of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host the ATHENA Forum at 11:15 a.m. Jan. 29 at the Holiday Inn on South Avenue.
The forum will include a discussion on new perspectives on leadership and successful leadership development. Lunch also will be a part of the program.
Established female leaders are asked to invite an emerging leader as a guest.
Registration is required for the event. The cost is $45 for a mentor/emerging leader pair and $25 for a single mentor and $25 for each additional emerging leader a mentor brings.

Manufacturing hub announced

President Barack Obama recently announced the launch of the newest advanced manufacturing hub.
The Manufacturing Innovation Institute for Advanced Composites is the fifth institute to be awarded of the eight institute competitions launched. It builds on the early success of the first manufacturing innovation institute, America Makes, in Youngstown.
The Department of Energy and a consortium of 122 companies, nonprofits and universities led by the University of Tennessee- Knoxville will invest more than $250 million — $70 million in federal funds and more than $180 million in nonfederal funds — to launch a Manufacturing Innovation Institute for Advanced Composites.
FASTSIGNS marks 15 years in business

FASTSIGNS, owned by Jay and Penny Summer, is a sign, graphics and visual communications company that provides visual marketing solutions to customers of all sizes and in all industries.
The majority of products and services the company provides are for business and commercial applications, such as regulatory signs, temporary yard signs, permanent monument signs, banners, digital signage, acrylic stand-offs, wall murals and vehicle wraps.
Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course was one of the company’s largest customers in 2014. FASTSIGNS is located at 6981 Southern Blvd.
Chamber seeks nominations

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for individuals, groups and businesses that have made a positive difference in the community.
Criteria for nominations and nomination forms can be found at the chamber’s offices, 328 N. Main St., and online at columbianachamber.com. The deadline for nominations is Friday.
Honorees will be awarded at the 62nd annual awards banquet at Das Dutch Village Inn on Feb. 22. Tom Mackall, president of Firestone Homestead LLC, will be the featured speaker. For banquet reservations, call the chamber at 330-482-3822.
