Lowellville woman injured in Poland traffic accident
POLAND — An 84-year-old Lowellville woman lost control of her vehicle and struck a building in the middle of the village this afternoon, police said.
She was driving southbound on state Route 170 when she lost control, clipped another vehicle and then accelerated and hit Jacqueline’s Bridal, located at 14 N. Main St., village Police Chief Russell Beatty Jr. said.
Beatty said it is unclear what caused the woman to lose control. Police were unable to get information from her after the accident because of her condition. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for her injuries.
No one in the other car was injured, Beatty said. The accident caused damage to the bridal shop’s sign and porch, he said.
