Thursday: The Warren JFK graduate shot a opening-round 3-under par 67 in the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. He started on the back nine and birdied holes Nos. 13, 17 and 18. He also finished his day with a birdie on No. 9. He had one bogey, on No. 4. Kokrak is five shots behind co-leaders Paul Casey and Webb Simpson.

Today: Kokrak tees off at 8 a.m. on No. 1. His playing partners are Carl Pettersson and Scott Langley.
