That Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Republican Headquarters on Route 224 in Boardman. The change in location is needed to accommodate the guest speaker. Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Inn at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The speaker will be Shirley Szabo, with a terrarium presentation. Those wishing to make a terrarium should take potting soil, small stones, rocks, a glass container — with or without a top — and small plants. Hosts are Pat Marshall Iiona and Peter Mihal.

Poland Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Little Red Schoolhouse, 4515 Center Road in Poland Township. The first program of the new year begins at 7:30 p.m. with Ginny and Steve Meloy’s presentation about the Inn at the Green in Poland Village. Steve will discuss the history of the Inn and the John Arrel family including his son, Walter, who built the house around 1876. Ginny will talk about their operation of the Inn.
