'Vaudeville at the Vic' fundraiser

“Vaudeville at the Vic,” the annual fundraiser show of the Victorian Players Theater, will be Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. both nights. The theater is at 706 Mahoning Ave.

This year’s event will be hosted by 21 WFMJ-TV newscasters Glenn Stevens and Regina Reynolds. Featured acts include professional jazz singer Barbara Knight of Pittsburgh; the McCabes band; local actors Roz Blystone, Gerri Jenkins, Dave and Donny Wolford, Chloe Housteau and Vincent Dragos; the comedy of Jenna Cintavey, and a host of other stage veterans.

At old Vaudeville shows, audience members often would throw rotten fruit at acts that were less than excellent. At the Vic, patrons throw pingpong balls at the performers.
