A 27-year-old man called police after he said someone tried to run him over with a pickup truck in an apartment complex’s parking lot on Flo Lor Drive on Monday night.

The victim reported that he was walking in the parking lot at 7:23 p.m. when he was approached by a man in a green pickup truck with a plow attached, a police report states. The man pulled up and blocked in the victim’s car, and told him to drop two crock pots he was carrying. The victim refused, and the suspect tried to hit him with the truck. The victim was able to get away. According to the report, the victim told police the vehicle appears to be one of the security trucks used by Brandywine Apartments to plow snow.

The suspect was described as a white male between 25 and 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 190 pounds.

David E. White, 58, of Maple Street in Garrettsville, remains in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of $150,000 bond after being arraigned Monday in Newton Falls Municipal Court on one count of rape. White is accused of raping a 14-year-old Garrettsville girl Jan. 7 at a campground on state Route 305 in Southington, authorities said.
