WARREN

Generations Insurance Group in Warren announced the acquisition of Cretella Insurance Agency of Girard on Tuesday. Cretella, on 104 S. State St., has been in operating in Girard since 1983.

Cretella offers personal insurance to customers in Girard, Youngstown, Niles, Liberty, McDonald and Mineral Ridge. The agency provides preferred auto, high-risk auto, homeowners and life insurance. Cretella will join Generations, which offers multiple insurance options through its five offices in Ohio and Kentucky.

Tim Hortons opens

SALEM

A new Tim Hortons at 2262 E. State St. opened in late December. The restaurant, part of Restaurant Brands International based in Ontario, offers coffee, teas, smoothies, baked goods, sandwiches, soups and other foods. As of September 2014, the company had 4,590 restaurants, mainly in Canada and the U.S.

Shale seminar set

BUTLER, PA.

The Penn State Extension office will have a Shale Mineral Management seminar on “understanding your royalty check” Feb. 16.
