Truck assault reported in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN

A 27-year-old man called police an attempted assault by a truck in apartment complex’s parking lot on Flo Lor Drive at 7:23 tonight.

The victim reported that he was walking in the parking lot when approached by a man in a green pick-up truck with a plow attached, a police report states. The man pulled up and blocked in the victim’s car, and told him to drop two crock pots he was carrying.

The victim refused, and the suspect tried to hit him with the truck. The victim was able to get away. The suspect started to call the victim names, but left after police were called.

According to the report, the victim told police the vehicle appears to be one of the security trucks used by Brandywine Apartments to plow snow.

The suspect was described as a white male between 25 and 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 190 pounds.
