“American Experience” (9 p.m., PBS): “Klansville U.S.A.” is neither a nice place to visit, nor would you want to live there.

Rusyn song fest by musicologist

YOUNGSTOWN

Musicologist Jerry Jumba will present a Rusyn song festival at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road.

Jumba, who is also a choreographer, cantor and song teacher, will provide an introspective in Rusyn music. Jumba studied Rusyn culture and music in Eastern Europe and has translated folk songs into “sing-able” English, produced many medieval Rusyn Bethlehem plays, and has served as cantor and choir director for many churches in the Pittsburgh area.

Butler director presents art talks

YOUNGSTOWN

Louis A. Zona, director of the Butler Institute of American Art, will present a series of talks about world art of the early 20th Century.

The programs will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, Feb. 8 and Feb. 15 in the Butler’s Beecher Center auditorium.

Talent show is postponed

The Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend talent show scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. The event, which was to be at the Trumbull Community Action Program building (formerly West Junior High), will be rescheduled at a future date, said promoter Greg Johnson.
