Boat show includes guests, film

ROOTSTOWN
Boat House Marine at Tri-lakes (BHM), 3976 state Route 14, will present its third annual Boat Days boat show this weekend, featuring special guests, a film premiere and a chance to win a Hyperlite wakeboard for 1 cent.
Hours for the weekend-long show, which is the biggest in the region, are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
On Saturday, attendees will have the chance to win a 2015 Hyperlite board from BHM’s pro shop. The winning board will have a lucky penny taped to it, which the finder can use to purchase the board, which will be at least a $300 value.
On Friday and Saturday, attendees can meet Parks Bonifay, a 20-year wakeboarding veteran who won the X Games on his first visit. He’s earned multiple titles since turning pro in 1994, is a recurring star on MTV’s “Nitro Circus” and was featured in the new wakeboarding film “Prime.” The local premiere of the film will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the boat show.

Live music by Cleav Peavy & Dreadlock Dave from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Ohio boating education course with instructor David Bresko of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
