Defending Southeastern Conference player of the year Tiffany Mitchell scored 13 of her 19 points in the second half for South Carolina. Mitchell shook off a 2-of-7 shooting performance in the first half to keep the Gamecocks perfect at 16-0 this season after trailing at the half for just the third time this season. Mitchell opened the second period with a basket as South Carolina (4-0 SEC) took off on a 15-6 run to take control. The Wildcats (14-3, 3-1) closed to 50-46 on Jennifer O’Neill’s bucket with 11:11 left. But Khadijah Sessions followed with her third 3-pointer to restore South Carolina’s margin and Kentucky could get no closer.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis broke Diana Taurasi’s UConn career record for 3-pointers. Mosqueda-Lewis hit the record-breaking shot from the top of the 3-point circle just 3:18 into the game. The senior added one more during the game for a career total of 320 in 118 games. She scored eight points in 21 minutes.
Vanderbilt 78, No. 14 Mississippi State 62
NASHVILLE, TENN.
Morgan Batey matched her career-high with 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Vanderbilt handed Mississippi State its first loss of the season. Heather Bowe and Rebekah Dahlman had 17 points apiece for Vanderbilt (9-7, 1-3 SEC).

Brianna Turner scored 21 points, including four baskets on alley-oop layups, Kathryn Westbeld added 15 points and Notre Dame outscored Boston College by 40 inside.

Myisha Hines-Allen had 20 points and 10 rebounds to help Louisville rally in the second half. Mariya Moore added 16 points, Bria Smith 13 and Shawnta Dyer 10 for the Cardinals (15-1, 3-0 ACC), who were down 11 at the half before earning their seventh straight. Dearica Hamby had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Deacons (9-8, 0-3), who shot 55.6 percent in the first half to take a 42-31 lead.

Ariel Massengale scored all 16 of her points in the second half as Tennessee rallied. The Lady Vols (14-2, 4-0 SEC) overcame a nine-point deficit in the second half and won their 10th straight game. Cierra Burdick led the Lady Vols with 17 points, while Isabelle Harrison also finished in double figures with 13. Jessica Jackson led Arkansas with 18 points.

Stephanie Mavunga had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead North Carolina. Jessica Washington tied a career high with 16 points for the Tar Heels (15-2, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who never trailed. Aaliyah Whiteside scored 22 points and Roddreka Rogers had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Georgia Tech (12-6, 2-2).

Jordan Jones had 12 points and Curtyce Knox added a career-high 10, including a key basket late to help the Aggies. Akilah Bethel led LSU (8-8, 2-2) with 13 points and Sheila Boykin had 11.

Ruth Hamblin scored 23 points on 11-of-17 shooting to help Oregon State rout Oregon for the second time in three nights. Jillian Alleyne had 16 points and 18 rebounds for Oregon (8-7, 1-3).

Brene Moseley made two free throws with 2.8 seconds left to give Maryland a win over stubborn Minnesota. Lexie Brown scored 20 while Moseley and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each added 15 to lift Maryland (13-2, 4-0) into first place in the Big Ten.

TALLAHASSEE, FLA.
Adut Bulgak had 18 points and a career-high 18 rebounds and Florida State closed the game with a 16-3 run to upset Duke. Duke had won 36 straight ACC games in January since a 2009 loss at FSU.

Amber Orrange scored 19 points, Bonnie Samuelson added 18 and Stanford needed overtime to hold off Washington State.

Melissa Dixon scored 18 points and Ally Disterhoft added 17 to lead Iowa. Bethany Doolittle contributed 15 for the Hawkeyes (12-3, 3-1 Big 10), who had a subpar performance behind the 3-point line.

Rachel Theriot scored 27 points, including 10 straight as Nebraska closed the game with a 15-4 run. The Illini (11-5, 2-2 Big Ten) were up 49-43 and looking for their second-straight win over a ranked team, when Theriot took over. She made two free throws at the 6:19 mark and when she hit a jumper with 3:06 left the Cornhuskers (12-3, 2-2) were up 53-51. H

Tiaria Griffin made four 3-pointers en route to 16 points to lead Georgia to a comeback victory over Auburn. Shacobia Barbee had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Georgia (15-2, 3-1 SEC).
No. 21 Syracuse 68, Virginia 55
SYRACUSE, N.Y.
Alexis Peterson scored 16 points and Syracuse handled Virginia. Peterson was 5 of 10 from the floor, including a pair of 3-pointers, and had five assists. Maggie Morrison was 4 of 5 beyond the arc for 12 points, Taylor Ford added 11 points and Briana Day chipped in with 10.
