Fatal car accident
BRACEVILLE
State troopers at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post in Southington said a 62-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman who was driving the wrong way on state Route 5 about 11:05 p.m. Saturday was killed in a three-car accident. Linda Reagan was driving west in the eastbound lane near state Route 534 when her car collided with a car in the eastbound lane driven by 17-year-old Michael Dunham of Warren, the patrol said. A third car, driven by 62-year-old Thomas Pabin of Leavittsburg, was behind Dunham’s car and struck his car. Reagan was pronounced dead at the scene, and Dunham was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. Pabin and a passenger were treated at the scene.
Eliminating box
WARREN
Warren City Council will introduce legislation at its meeting Wednesday sponsored by Cheryl Saffold, council member at large, to express its support for “Ban the box” initiatives instituted by several communities, including Youngstown. The legislation also will urge Warren Mayor Doug Franklin to support such a policy. “Ban the box” is an attempt to eliminate the question on employment applications that asks whether the applicant has ever been convicted of a felony.
