Society chapter

YOUNGSTOWn

The Society of St. John Chrysostom Youngstown-Warren Chapter will present “The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and the Current Conflict in Ukraine” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church 520 W. Rayen Ave.

Speaker will be the Rev. Lubomir Zhybak, Holy Trinity administrator.

The program is free and open to the public.

The Society of St. John Chrysostom is an ecumenical organization of Catholic and Orthodox clergy and laity, working to make known the history, worship, spirituality, discipline and theology of eastern Christendom.

Huddle meeting

SALEM

Men’s Rally in the Valley huddle meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Road, with speaker Tom Carnahan.

A breakfast meeting will be at 8 a.m. Jan. 17 at Das Dutch Has in Columbiana for “Brent Tice Day.”

Bob Pavlich will be speaker and Dave Render, music.

Concert at church

BOARDMAN

GloryWay Quartet will present a Southern Gospel concert at 6:30 p.m. today at Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road.

There is no admission fee; a free-will offering will be taken.

Conference set

CORTLAND

Doers of the Word Baptist Church, 162 S. High St., will host a conference from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Speakers will be Pastor Ernie Sanders on “The Clergy Response Team/FEMA and Homeland Security;” Mike Petro, author, on “Communism/Socialism;” Dan Hromada of the Ohio Chapter of Act for America, “Muslim Brotherhood/Isis, Threat to America” and Ken Shaw, lawyer, “Dangers of Common Core.”

Refreshments will be served.

The conference is a benefit for Right to Life.

Concert, worship

YOUNGSTOWN

Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., will present “It is Time,” a concert and worship service, at 3 p.m. Jan. 18.

The free program will include choirs, soloists, musicians, mimes, rappers, flag lines, dancers and poetry.

It is open to all.
