Youngstown police seeking witnesses to pedestrian death

Police are seeking witnesses to the accident Tuesday evening that killed a pedestrian on the South Side.

In addition to a man and woman whom police already said they were looking for, and who were in a dark colored Pontiac or Buick that stopped, investigators are also seeking a person who witnesses said was walking in the area when the accident happened.

Killed was 50-year-old Michelle Anne Bland, who was struck by a truck from the city’s wastewater department at about 6 p.m.

Police say she was walking north almost in the middle of the road on Gibson Street when hit.
