Sections of I-80 closed in western Pa.

MERCER, PA.

Interstate 80 eastbound is closed in Mercer County from the Ohio state line to Exit 4A (New Castle, Interstate 376) due to a multi-vehicle accident.

That section of the highway is expected to open by 10:30 a.m., PennDOT said.

Interstate 80 westbound is closed from Exit 29 (Franklin, Route 8) in Venango County to Exit 24 (Sandy Lake, Route 173) in Mercer County due to multiple accidents.

That section of the highway is expected to open by 11 a.m.
