McGuffey society to host Rev. George Balasko

The Rev. George Balasko will speak on “Memories of a Lifetime” when William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society meets at 10 a.m. Jan. 17 in Kravitz’s Deli meeting room, 3135 Belmont Ave.

Father Balasko will discuss his life, vocation discernment, his polka Mass and Jewish-Christian Dialogue, which he founded with the late Rabbi Samuel Meyer. Father Balasko is the founder, general editor and producer of a continuing education program in cooperation with Alba House Communications and for more than 20 years has been host and producer of “Jewish-Christian Dialogue” network television series. There is no admission fee but reservations are suggested. Call the society at 330-726-8277 and leave a message. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a 50-50 raffle. A good-will offering will be accepted.
