Boardman police looking for bank robber

BOARDMAN — Township police are looking for a man they say who robbed a bank on South Avenue this afternoon.

Police say a man entered Huntington Bank, located at 7235 South Ave., about 4:30 p.m., showed the bank teller a gun and a note with a demand, and then fled the scene with some amount of money.

Police were still out searching for the suspect at 6 p.m.

Police say they have an unverified tip the man might be driving a gray Chevrolet Impala

They ask that anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to call the police department at 330-726-4144.
