On Dec. 7, Austintown Bounce, located at 4317 Kirk Road, hosted approximately 50 area children for a Lunch with Santa event.
The children participated in several activities and sat on Santa Claus’ lap, telling him what they wanted for Christmas.
“The event went well. The children lined up to tell Santa and Mrs. Claus what they wanted for Christmas,” Austintown Bounce co-owner Bruce Shepas said. “It was a sight to see all their smiling faces.
“We’ve been having events like this since we’ve opened our doors five years ago. Each year, we get more creative by adding contests, games and by having Santa bring Mrs, Claus. We can’t wait to sit down and start planning our next big event, Lunch with the Easter Bunny. Please like us on Facebook to keep up with any special events and discounted offers.”
Some of the activities the children did included guessing games and raffles, in which children won stockings filled with goodies. Each child also received a free Christmas snow globe, popcorn and soda.
They also got to bounce on the facility’s bounce-arounds. The 11,000-square-foot building has activities such as Toddler Land, Joey’s Snack Shack, a private party room, a large ticket redemption area with more than 45 arcade and ticket redemption games, an adult relaxation area with a big screen TV, massage chair and free Wifi, plus a birthday party wind machine and Austintown Bounce’s mascot, Joey the Kangaroo.
“These events were planned since the opening of Austintown Bounce,” Shepas said. “[Co-owner] Harold Porter and I believe in quality time with our families and friends. What better way to kick off the Christmas season than to have an event like this. More importantly, spending time with your children, enjoying the Christmas spirit.
“Not only at this event, but throughout the year, many parents or even children will come up to us and say thanks for being here or for helping them and their organization, team, or fundraiser. We do what we can and I want to take this opportunity on behalf of our families and Austintown Bounce to say thank you. We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”
