Campbell police arrest man on drug charge

Jeremy Perine, 37, of New Castle was arrested on a felony charge of possession of drugs.

Perine was driving his 2004 Toyota pickup truck when police pulled him over for expired registration of his vehicle.

Perine advised that he was driving under a suspended license. According to the report, police then conducted a search, and found 0.5 grams of suspected heroin in a plastic bag in Perine's possession.

Perine was taken to Campbell jail pending a court appearance on Friday.
