1-hour pet first aid course Wednesday at JCC

The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering a pet first-aid course from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the adult lounge.

The cost is $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers. After Monday, the cost is $10.

Participants will learn how to respond to health emergencies, how to stock a pet first-aid kit, how to safely muzzle a dog and where to check the animal for a pulse.

This lunchtime learning is sponsored by the American Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley. Lunch is included.
