Police seek possible witness to pedestrian death
YOUNGSTOWN
Police are looking for the driver of a dark colored car who may have witnessed the death of a pedestrian about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The 50-year-old woman, whose name is still not being released until her family can be notified, was walking north in the roadway on Mabel Avenue towards Gibson Street when she was struck from behind by a pickup truck from the city wastewater department and killed.
Police say they want to question the man who was driving the car. They said he got out of his car after the accident and then drove away.

No charges have been filed. The case is still under investigation.
The woman's death is the city's first traffic death of 2015. In 2014, the city had 12 traffic deaths
