1 injured in escape from Boardman apartment fire

BOARDMAN — One person was injured while escaping from a fire at his township apartment early this morning, township fire officials say.

Firefighters responded to a fire at 1989 Wolosyn Circle at 5:45 a.m.

The tenant was taken to an area hospital with injuries. Information about the extent of his injuries was not immediately available.

The fire is now out, and investigators are on scene. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
