Suspect arrested in Ashtabula County for Neshannock homicide


NESHANNOCK, PA. — Pennsylvania State Police at New Castle have arrested a man in the Ashtabula County jail on charges he killed a 25-year-old Kenneth Avenue man last month.

A news release says that Joseph Anthony Markijohn, 26, of Shepard Road in Ashtabula, faces charges of criminal homicide, robbery, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property in the death of 25-year-old Joseph Carl Pagley II.

Pagley was found by friends dead in his Neshannock Township home about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

The release said Markijohn is in the jail on drug-trafficking charges stemming from the homicide investigation. A warrant has been filed against him for the case in Pennsylvania.
