Antonine Sisters to unveil $9M assisted-living center
NORTH JACKSON — The Antonine Sisters in North Jackson say they continue to meet the needs of the elderly in the Mahoning Valley.
The seven-member community of Maronite Catholic religious women will soon see the completion of Antonine Village, 2675 N. Lipkey Road, a new $9 million assisted-living and memory-care center that will complement their adult day care facility.
“The purpose of the facility is to keep them active mentally and physically,” said Sister Marie Madeleine Iskandar, local superior of the Sisters.
Built around a secure courtyard, the new campus includes 55 apartments. Ten of the apartments are for independent living residents who receive some help such as housekeeping. There are 24 rooms for assisted living, and 21 rooms for memory care residents who require complete care.
