Two classes at JCC
YOUNGSTOWN
The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane, will offer smartphone and iPad classes this month.
Smartphone 101 will teach the basic functions of the devices such as checking email, accessing the Internet and social media sites and online banking. Classes will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in the adult lounge. The cost is $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers.
iPad 101 classes will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays. The cost is also $45 for members and $55 for nonmembers.
The class will demonstrate how to set up an email account and app store account, install new apps and organize apps.

Bond in child-sex case
WARREN
Bond of $20,000 was set during an arraignment Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for Norman Mullet, 34, of state Route 87 in Mesopotamia, who is charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition. Mullet is accused of having sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl. He pleaded not guilty. He was arrested Monday and taken to the county jail after a grand jury indicted him on the charges last week.
Home burglarized
AUSTINTOWN
Police are investigating the burglary of a Belle Avenue home. The home was broken into sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Tuesday while the homeowner was away, police said. Electronic games and jewelry were stolen.
