CANFIELD

City officials approved some year-end budget adjustments at a special city council meeting.

Christine Clayton, city finance director, explained at council’s Wednesday meeting that a transfer of $179,601.67 needed to be rescinded.

“I should’ve waited until next year. We don’t have enough money in that fund currently to do that,” Clayton told council.

The fund transfer was for completion of a 24-inch waterline fund. “We’ll do it again in early 2015,” Clayton said.

That project was to replace damaged waterlines that ran parallel to state Route 11.

Council also unanimously approved the final 2014 budget of $9.8 million. It then unanimously approved an appropriation of $216,000 for the Fairview Drive storm water project.

The Fairview project is to install piping to guide the water to the Indian Run tributary, city manager Joe Warino has said.
