Valley teams, individuals headed for state bowling

LORAIN — The Struthers boys bowling team won the Division II district bowling tournament Saturday at Rebman Recreation Center.

The Wildcats will have company in the state tournament at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl. Hubbard was third and Lakeview was fourth in the team standings and will join Struthers at state.

The top four teams and the top four individuals not on a qualifying team earn state berths.

LaBrae's Brandon Bergstrom finished fourth to earn a berth in the state tournament.

Two girls teams from the Valley earned state berths. Cardinal Mooney was second and Hubbard third in the girls district tournament.

Struthers' Jamie King was second among individuals from non-qualifying teams to earn a state tournament berth.
