Moliterno announces candidacy for third term
Boardman Township Trustee Larry Moliterno will seek re-election to his third four-year term in November 2015.
“Following the strong encouragement of Boardman residents, I am honored to seek another term as your Boardman Township Trustee,” Moliterno said, “I want to continue to work diligently with my colleagues to ensure a strong Boardman for the next generation of our residents and their families.”
In making his announcement, Moliterno noted that beginning with his first term in 2008, he focused on his pledge to restore confidence in Boardman and its leadership. With the election of Brad Calhoun and Tom Costello in 2010, and along with Fiscal Officer Bill Leicht, they worked as a team to fulfill their commitment to the community. Moliterno cites many accomplishments during his tenure as trustee, including initiating and maintaining an integrated strategic plan for Boardman Township; initiating utility aggregation programs saving residents dollars on their gas and electric bills; creating the ABC Water District that could lead to the completion of many infrastructure projects; reestablishing a strong relationship with Boardman Schools and Boardman Park; instituting Community Day; renewing a sense of community pride; establishing a joint paving contract with local communities, saving dollars, restored Police staffing; improving the safety of all residents; restoring the Juvenile Diversion program and rejuvenating the wonderful community resource of BSTN, improving communication with the community, just to name a few.
Moliterno will host a campaign kickoff event on March 11 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Boardman.
