2 killed in single-car crash in southwest Ohio

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Police say two people have died and a third was hospitalized after a single-car crash in southwestern Ohio.

Oxford Township Police Chief Michael Goins says a male and female died at the crash scene on a township road Thursday. Goins said today he couldn’t say yet whether they were adults or teens.

He says another female who was driving the car was taken to a hospital in Oxford. Goins says she was treated and released.

The chief says the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, rolled several times and struck a utility pole.

The crash remains under investigation, but Goins says speed appears to be a factor.

He says the identities of the two people killed in the crash won’t be released until relatives are notified.
