Man wounded in shooting on Youngstown's East Side


YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating after they were called to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital about 12:30 p.m. today for a report of a man who was taken there with a gunshot wound.

A police spokesman said the man had a wound to the thigh. The spokesman said the man told officers who came to take a report that he was shot at Shehy and Jackson streets on the city's East Side.

The spokesman said officers are there looking to see if they can find any evidence of a crime scene.
