Warren police investigating woman's assault

WARREN — A 22-year-old Elm Road man has been charged with felonious assault after his 22-year-old wife said he beat her up and held her hostage for nearly two weeks at a house in the city.

Harold Travis Jr. of the 1200 block of Elm Road Northeast was arrested this morning by the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitives Task Force after the task force found him hiding in the attic of his home.

His wife was transported from an address on Glenwood to a hospital for her injuries after the 2 p.m. Tuesday call to police.

Travis is expected to be arraigned Thursday in Warren Municipal Court.
